  • Craig Day was another success with about 30 patients plus the patients' family, friends and Craig Hospital staff going for rides at Cherry Creek reservoir on August 1, 2008.  The weather was clear and beautiful but very hot (the high was close to 100 degrees) so extra care was taken by the patients and staff to ensure that no one suffered from the heat.  The winds were very light making for extra safe conditions. Here are just a few pictures showing some of the patients going sailing.

  • The Glendo regatta (That One Particular Regatta) had beautiful weather with lots of shade in the trees at water's edge.  The beach was about 40 feet wide, perfect!  This year the lake management permitted a couple of 4x4's to tow trailers on and off the beach making for a much nicer situation than last year.  Sandy Beach is one of my favorite spots to be on a lake.  The pot luck was a great idea for socializing.  The winds started of great on Friday before the regatta with very solid double-trapping practice and a couple of flips from pushing the envelope.  Saturday started well with a good first race.  Then the wind got a bit lighter but we finished a second race.  Sunday we completed two races in very light winds (no floaters, just very light).  The Wyoming Fleet did a fabulous job putting on this regatta!
